Tip: What do you want to get out of high school? 8th Graders will begin to make decisions soon about where they want to attend high school and may have more than one option of where they have been offered acceptance. Making a list of the top 5 qualities that you want in a high school can help as you discern – or make thoughtful decisions – on where you will attend. 6th & 7th Graders – while you’re still in the midst of your high school search, it’s never too early to start to make a list of qualities that you want in a high school!

Why did you choose Gwynedd?
I chose to attend Gwynedd because when I attended the Open House and Entrance Exams, I met so many girls (not realizing they would be my future peers) and saw how fun and easy it was to make friends at Gwynedd. Everyone in the school is so welcoming and understanding and the amazing community made it super easy for me to make the decision to attend Gwynedd. What extracurriculars are you involved in? I am involved in Gwynedd Ambassadors (Vice President), Gwynedd Crew Team, National Honors Society, Latin Honors Society, Monarch Media Productions, and Student Stewards. What is your favorite subject?
My favorite subject at Gwynedd was Forensic Science. I loved Mrs. Mitchell's teaching style and I enjoyed learning more about the different aspects of this subject that involve topics I expect to see in my future career as an FBI Agent/Crime Scene Investigator. |

What is your favorite part about being a Gwynedd Girl?
My favorite part of Gwynedd is the authenticity of the school's mission statement and also of the "She is the Future" mantra. I can honestly say that throughout my (almost) 4 years at Gwynedd, the teachers and faculty have worked hard to educate, inspire, and empower all Gwynedd Girls for their own personal futures. When I graduate, I have no doubt that I will be fully prepared for all the future throws at me.
Do you have any tips for those preparing to apply to high school? My advice to prospective students would be to attend as many events (Open House, the exams, visitation days, etc) as you can that involve connecting with the entire school community. This can allow you to get a sense of the environment and it makes it easier for you to envision yourself attending this high school.
